Mary Alice Lawless
CEO
Mary Alice has two decades of experience leading strategic and commercialization initiatives across pharma, medical device, and consumer healthcare. She has been recognized for business strategies that create new value and deliver sustainable commercial performance. She has worked with some of the most successful brands and companies in the healthcare sector. Her background touches most parts of the healthcare ecosystem; and includes payers, providers, PBMs, pharmacy, digital care, health policy, and health systems. Today she continues to work with executive leaders and boards at some of the world’s largest and most prominent healthcare organizations, helping to shape solutions for complex issues facing their organizations. Mary Alice has been an advocate for development of regulatory innovation and novel pathways for treatment access pathways as a means to reverse undertreatment. Her work contributed to the FDA Rule for Nonprescription Access with an Additional Condition for Nonprescription Use (ACNU). In this pursuit, she has led many interactions with FDA, including a successful Pre-RFD filing, multiple Listening Meetings with the Agency, and several industry presentations and webinars with Agency staff. A frequent editorial contributor to Nicholas Hall publications, a speaker at industry events, and an active member of several professional organizations, Mary Alice has been recognized for thought leadership. She is the recipient of the Creative Use of Technology Award from IBM and she was recognized with the Rising Star Award by the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association. Mary Alice began her career in journalism, and was on the news staff at ABC Network, assigned to Good Morning America and World News Tonight. She attended the University of Notre Dame, Mendoza College of Business, Stayer Center for Executive Education and is certified in Executive Integral Leadership. She attended Graduate School of Journalism at the University of South Carolina. She earned her undergraduate degree from the College of Arts, at Montclair State University.
Dr. John O'Mullane
Chief Science Officer
Dr. O'Mullane has led innovation and R&D initiatives for many of the leading consumer healthcare entities, and across all significant categories and classes, including OTC medicines, supplements, devices, and cosmetic products. John is a recognized pioneer in Rx to OTC switch–switching 10 assets into new and existing Categories. John has led the scientific and strategic discussions between FDA and Biograph; and is champion for the new era of technology-enabled access to treatment.

John led science, innovation, research and development teams at global leading companies, including GSK, Schering Plough, Merck, and Bayer. There he built organizations organically focusing on capabilities and a fit for purpose orientation. He is a recognized portfolio builder and pioneer in Rx to OTC switch, having switched 10 assets into new and existing Categories.
Jim Parker
Chief Policy and Healthcare Partnership Officer
Jim is a healthcare executive who spent two decades in leadership positions at Anthem (now Elevance Health). There he led policy initiatives and was president of the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maine health plan. Immediately prior to joining Biograph, Jim served as the Senior Advisor for Health Reform to then HHS Secretary, Alex Azar. Today, he is a leading voice for expansion of nonprescription access to reverse undertreatment, improve health equity, and relieve health system burden. Jim’s vast knowledge and unique understanding of healthcare shapes Biograph policy and partner strategies.
Ted Lawless
Chief of Operations and Business Development
Ted is an experienced business and financial professional with a background in investment banking and corporate finance. He brings a strong track record of management, audit and advisory through his work with Huron Consulting Group, Deloitte, and Credit Suisse. Ted directs all business engagements that rely on Data Application and Analysis, Forecasting, and Performance Modeling. He oversees all operational functions and partner integrations of Biograph and the Biograph ACNU Factory.
Joseph McGovern
Chief Strategy Officer
Joseph McGovern is an accomplished healthcare industry executive with experience in the strategic management of global healthcare businesses, including portfolio management, product launches and Rx-to-OTC switches to advance nonprescription access.
Joe’s extensive experience at both Pfizer Inc. and GlaxoSmithKline plc. has contributed to his comprehensive knowledgebase of global strategic marketing and development. Joe led the first global launches of seven new prescription drugs, including world-leading antibiotic Augmentin, plus ten prescription-to-over-the-counter switch projects. He has also led Rx-to-OTC switch in Digestive Health, Allergy, and Smoking Cessation.
Joe has worked in 23 countries and has held senior line and strategic positions in the UK, U.S. and other global markets.
Chelsea Ryan
Enterprise Account Director
Chelsea brings over a decade of experience managing business and clinical initiatives for major brands and companies. She has experience with Rx to OTC Switch, nonprescription product development, and marketing strategies for new product launches. Chelsea works directly with enterprise clients and oversees strategic engagements to meet business objectives and deliver healthcare outcomes.
Alpesh Patel
Technology Analyst
Alpesh has more than 25 years of experience in Information Technology. His professional career has spanned multiple industries, including Financial, Petroleum, IT Services, Hospital and Pharmaceutical. Alpesh brings an engineering discipline to implementation through the Biograph ACNU Factory. He is an advocate for Engineered Self Care with a powerful Consumer Experience (CX).
Theresa DeSantis
Market Insights Lead
Theresa DeSantis has been driving consumer-centric Market insights and New Product due-diligence for over 25 years as a consultant to Industry leaders such as Bayer, Sanofi, J&J and GlaxoSmithKline. Prior to working as an independent consultant, Theresa was the Marketing Director of Women’s Health and Skin Care at GSK.
Theresa delivers brand success through a deep understanding of how consumer behaviors and the evolving path-to-purchase influences product development, distribution, and marketing strategies. She is often been the bridge between Marketing and R&D teams enabling each of them to appreciate the value in bringing a holistic solution from what may appear to be disparate points of view.
